How to Take Action to See Incredible Results

I just spent a full week in Augusta, Ga., doing an on-site consultation for an independent restaurant owner. I brought my implementation consultant – the Implementor – with me, and we teamed up to implement nearly every system I teach for this restaurant. We worked from 9 in the morning until 2 the next morning, every day, focusing on every area of the restaurant, from the front to the back. We’re talking training, scheduling, kitchen prep, checklists, employee programs, food costs, cost of goods sold, pour costs, financial documents, accounting, vendor agreements, employee communications, menu, marketing and more.

We made incredible progress and the results this owner is going to see will be amazing. But he’s not going to be surprised because he’s already had me visit for a brief consultation. Just to give you an idea, I was there eight months ago and helped the owner implement a couple labor systems. Since that time he’s seen a return of $257,000 in eight months.

No wonder he brought me back to implement everything else!

I’m sharing this information with you for two reasons:
1. I want you to see the kinds of results you can achieve if you implement operational systems in your restaurant. You are bleeding money and don’t even know it.
2. I want to remind you that you have to TAKE ACTION to see results. Wanting to do it and doing it achieve very different results.

How to take action
Sometimes taking action is admitting you can’t do everything and asking for help. You might promote a manager or two, outsource some services in your restaurant or call on someone like me, The Restaurant Expert. No matter what you do, the important thing is to take action. Change your ways.

With systems in place you don’t have to micromanage, you can work on the things that always get put on the back burner, you can spend more time outside of your restaurant rather than on the floor, and you can get your life back.

As a result of utilizing purchase allotment, purchase orders and the labor system, we have made some dramatic changes:

Sales up $9,000
COGS down $7,000
Labor down $10,500
Net income up $28,000!
