Great Information – Check It Out

 In Operations

By Jenny Brooks

I was reviewing some business news yesterday and came across this item from the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

I specifically wanted to share this bit: “Coupon use at restaurants is growing, and offering meal discounts or free items are two of the best ways to attract new customers, A Closer Look said.”

You should read the whole article to get the big picture, but consumers are looking for this kind of thing. I’m not recommending a coupon campaign unless you can afford it (find your breakeven point with David Scott Peters’ Breakevent Point Calculator), but you should review your options. You can draw people in with offers that create excitement, but don’t cost you too much.

The good news is, people are still dining out. Don’t let the doom and gloom media discourage you too much!
